So What Else is New?
[Incidentally, if you see a date here which is later than the current date, it means I updated the site
twice (or more) in a single day, and I didn't want you to miss anything if you'd seen the first update but
not the second.]
[Or, it just means that I forgot what day it was.]
1/28/98
1/24/98
1/23/98
- Added exciting news about our new sponsorship!
- Added a new One-Timer by Doug Linder.
Care for a little cheese with that whine?
1/15/98
- Added a new PWC Introduction.
- Added yet another One-Timer by Andy
Moore. Wow! You'd think he had nothing better to do all day than to
write stuff for PWC!
1/14/98
1/13/98
- Added the very first One-Timer, a very
angry, bitter submission by your friend and mine, Andy Moore. Thanks, Andy! Did I
mention, by the way, that I take no responsibility for the content of
these columns?
1/9/98
- Created the brand-new One-Timers section,
which will feature writers who don't have enough time to write a regular
column. In other words, people who have lives.
- Added the "1998" to the copyright notice at the end of every page.
And to think, for eight days, none of the material on this page was
protected by law. I know I'll sleep better tonight.
- By the way, I made that "1998" change quickly and easily with ahab, which is still an awesome program. Just
thought I'd point that out.

12/31/97
- White's Warren has been updated. Leave
the religion, take the cannolis.
12/26/97
12/25/97
12/21/97
12/18/97
- Added a new PWC Introduction.
- White's Warren has been updated.
Actually, it was updated a couple days ago, but I am far too busy and
important to keep up to date with these things. Oops, sorry, I have to go
change the cat litter now.
12/14/97
12/11/97
12/5/97
12/2/97
11/22/97
- We're proud to add our newest guest writer to PWC. Please
give a warm welcome to Elizabeth White, who will be producing and editing
her own section, the brand new White's
Warren.
- Added yet another troubling PWC Introduction.
- Took down the "Quote of the Whatever". It was bugging me.
11/18/97
- Added a new Clash's Corner column. I have to
admit, my latest introduction, Decorum, made me want to kill
myself. This column makes me want to kill Clash.
11/15/97
11/7/97
- Added a new PWC Introduction.
- No other new columns were added today, because nobody had written any,
even though they assured me that I'd be getting exciting new material
every two weeks. Heh. Heh.
10/29/97
- So it's been over a month. So what. Be patient.
- Added a new, admittedly substandard PWC
Introduction.
- Added a new, admittedly entertaining Clash's
Corner column.
- Made a slight change to the Pinback page.
- By the way, I have no internet connection at my new job, so
you won't see the rapid-fire updates you've come to love and expect.
9/24/97
9/11/97
- Fixed the link to "Cyberbabes" in the Wrong
Links. Please, hold your applause. No, I said your
applause.
9/10/97
9/9/97 (Okay, so it took a little longer than I thought.)
- We're proud to introduce Clash's Corner,
featuring our first guest columnist.
- Since we now have two semi-regular columns, I moved 'em into
their own section, which shows up first on the main
page now.
- If you'd like to write a column for PWC, please contact the management.
- Changed the "Quote of the Whatever".
9/5/97
- Added a new introduction. Wow! They're
starting to come out every friday! Ahem.
- The moviegoing possibilities look bleak again this week. If I was a
real movie critic, I'd go see movies that I
wouldn't normally go to see, or movies that I heard were not so good. But
I'm not, so I save my money for when there's something worth checking out.
"Excess Baggage"? Uh, no, I don't think so.
- Stay tuned for another big update within the next 24 hours.
8/29/97
- Added a new introduction.
- Updated the "Quote of the Whatever".
- There will be no new movie reviews this
weekend, because there is nothing good out right now.
8/24/97
8/21/97
- Added a link to The Onion.
- Wrote a fairly embarr- I mean, interesting update to the IF Projects page.
8/20/97
-
Added Skin Disease Weekly to the Wrong
Links. Yes, this website sure is coming along, isn't it?
- Added a link to Pelon, a band I was
with in Maryland. See the link from the main
page for a more complete description.
8/19/97
- Updated the "Quote of the Whatever".
- Added a new introduction.
- Thanks to a tip from my mom, fixed the
spelling of the word "overwrought", in my movie
review of Contact.
- Added the page that the words "my mom" link to up there, and changed
the "about me" page to reflect same.
8/18/97
- Added that nifty little OWL Approved! icon to the bottom of
all the pages.
- Made a bunch of minor, nearly undetectable fixes and changes, which
aren't interesting enough to list separately.
8/17/97
8/16/97
8/15/97
- Of great interest to only a small fraction of you, I present, Talby's NNGS Headquarters, where you can meet the
people who like to hang out and play Go on the internet.
8/14/97
- Added individual titles for all the pages. (Oooooooh.)
- Added a link to the IF Projects page from
the IF Central page. It seemed only appropriate.
8/12/97
8/8/97
- Created an Archives page to include old stuff I wrote.
- Moved the Perimeter link to said Archives section.
- Fixed the description of Go Central. Did anybody notice that it said "Links
and info about the oriental boarge game, Go."? What the hell is a "boarge" game?
8/7/97
- Put the latest version of Apartment F209 on the IF Projects page.
- Added information to that very same page about the next project, and my plea for beta test victims.
8/6/97
- Big changes!
- Moved the Go links to their own section.
- Moved the Interactive Fiction links to their own section.
- Moved the introductory remarks to their own section, complete with an archive.
- Updated said introductory remarks.
- Added the "Quote of the Whatever" line to the main page.
- Added an important back bacon link.
- Neglected to admit that the 8/3/97 update actually occurred on 8/4/97, but I can't tell time. Or read a calendar.
8/3/97
- Added a review of Air Force One in the movie review section.
7/31/97
- Changed the link from Cinemachine to the Movie Review Query
Engine, because for some reason, Cinemachine stopped just bringing up
a full list of reviews, but instead would just show you a link to the
MRQE. That got annoying, so I "took my business elsewhere". Hmph!
7/29/97
- Changed the welcome message to address unavailability problems.
- Added the Wrong Links page.
- Added a link to the Infocom page under the
IF Links section.
7/21/97
- Updated F209 in the IF Projects page (and
added some revision history data).
7/19/97
- Added a page for ahab, my homegrown web
development tool.
7/18/97
7/17/97
- Wrote the Interactive Fiction introduction,
which replaces the less-satisfying 404 error.
- Added the IF Projects page, which includes
actual game stuff you can download and ostensibly have fun with.
- Modified this page to include the most recent updates. Well, I guess
I don't really have to point that out, do I?
7/14/97
- Well, the entire place is new. That's what's new. If you see any
bugs, perhaps an errant adjective or noun here or there, or just feel like
telling me how this site has enriched your life, please let me know.
